  5. Fill the bucket with water outside and hold above a dry surface. Inspect every nipple and the lid seal for drips. Add more Teflon tape to any leaking nipple.
  6. Hang the bucket so nipples sit at or just above chicken head height. Adult hens drink most comfortably when reaching slightly upward.

Common Mistakes That Ruin a DIY Waterer
